About Me
I am a proud product of the New Haven Public School system, having attended Martin Luther King School, Davis Street School, Sheridan Middle School, and Hillhouse High School. I went on to attend The University of Connecticut, where I received a B.A. in English and Quinnipiac University where I received a M.A. in Teaching. After completing a residency program at Paul Laurence Dunbar School in Bridgeport, CT, I began my teaching career in Detroit, Michigan where I taught eighth grade language arts. After returning to New Haven, I taught fifth grade at Katherine Brennan School and mathematics at Benjamin Jepson School. I have been a part of the East Rock staff since 2004, first as an Instructional Coach until being appointed Assistant Principal in 2007.
